Super linear park

Located in the Danish capital Copenhagen, super linear park is a 800 meters long and narrow public space, covering an area of 30,000 square meters.
It is home to Denmark's largest ethnic concentration and was once the most socially troubled region.
Instead of generating chaos, the exaggerated lines and colors of the super linear park integrate the environment and order of the block, reflect a thorough vitality, and perfectly fit the character of Copenhagen, a Nordic metropolis once praised as "the best design city".

The architect of the block park is now the BIG firm in architectural circles.
The firm's boss, Bjarke Ingels, was born in Denmark.
In 2005, at the age of 31, he founded the BjarkeIngels Group, or BIG team.
Although BIG is only a young team in the field of architectural design that emphasizes experience and experience, it has become a renowned pioneer team in the field of architecture in the past decade.

Super linear park is a collection of architecture, landscape, art, life mode of the combination, is a collection of various disciplines involved in the crossover masterpiece.
It contains exhibitions of more than 60 cities with different cultural backgrounds, which set off a unique cultural exchange and exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It has gym equipment from Los Angeles's muscle beach, sewage drains from Israel, palm trees from China and neon lights from Qatar and Russia.
Each item is inlaid with a small stainless steel plate, its brief introduction and country in Danish and the language of their origin.
The space shows the global atmosphere of multi-ethnic integration, rather than a single scene of Danish cultural assimilation.

Urban public facilities supermarkets:

Super linear park design drawings, only the designer can see;
In the eyes of the public, they have been specifically evolved into every small public facility in the block park.
BIG is very happy to work with the residents here. The daily necessities and installations displayed in the park include benches, lampposts, garbage cans and plants from all over the world. These essential landscapes of the contemporary park were selected at the suggestion of the residents around them.
The transocean landscape has transformed it into an international contemporary urban garden.

Bright colors show the vitality of the city:

Super linear park is roughly divided into three zones -- red, black and green, which are the dominant colors of each zone.
The fusion of different landscape surfaces and colors brings new life to these everyday objects.
Different types of vegetation with different growth cycles add a lot of natural flavor to the park:

The area of gules ground is the recreational and recreational place of block park, stylist people use the gules quadrilateral of different purity, different size to join together on the ground, appear free and follow the gender, have visual guiding effect already, reduced the visual depressing sense of sidewalk again.
As an extension of the N rrebro entertainment center in Copenhagen, a series of entertainment facilities in the area enable residents to communicate during sports and games.
The colorful Mosaic floor contrasts with the colors and materials of N rrebro entertainment center and its new main entrance.
A variety of ethnic landscapes and sports facilities also make the red area a good choice for fitness and exercise for the surrounding residents. Every weekend, more citizens from other parts of Copenhagen come to gather here.

The area with the black ground is the urban living room of the citizens of this area.
On weekdays, the fixed white tables, chairs and barbecue facilities in the park create a variety of space for neighborhood communication.
The most remarkable is the flowing white curve on the ground, just like the ripple of running water, following the slope, accompanied by the occasionally rolling "vortex" slowly forward, forming a fashionable and dynamic picture.
My favorite is an abstract art installation at the corner of the street -- a slide shaped like an "octopus". In my mind, the romantic and dynamic contour curve is always accompanied by the smile of children.
A large neon sign of a dentist from doha, Qatar, dominates the square.

The area of green grassland is another place for residents to play and play. It provides land for large-scale sports activities.
Taking advantage of the undulating terrain, the designer has set up a number of activities and soft hills for this area, where residents can have picnics, sunbathe, play street basketball and so on.
The Olympic spirit of sport is mutual understanding, friendship, unity and fair play.
Obviously, the various street movements, which have discarded the differences of race and nationality, are the most direct way for the super linear park to promote the communication among the multi-ethnic residents.

Open your mind to ideas:

As a designer, BIG is a group of architects, designers and thinkers who are active in architecture and urban, research and development.
Their designs often break with convention and present a practical "utopian" state.
The openness of super linear park in design concept is an eye-opener for us.
BIG wants to free the imagination from conventional thinking and stereotyping to cope with the challenges of changing contemporary life.
