Supported by a public fundraising fund in 1837, the building was built between 1838 and 1848.
Its architectural style is greatly influenced by classical Greek architecture. The whole building is built around the atrium where thorvaldsen himself is buried.
Each room is decked out with ceiling motifs of cave trolls, while the exterior is festooned with eaves depicting the return of thorvaldsen in 1838, carved by J rgen Sonne.
The museum houses everything from tovalson's plaster to marble, including some of the original plaster models made for casting bronze and bas-relief.There are also exhibits of Greek, Roman and Egyptian antiques, paintings and prints collected by thorvaldsen, as well as some personal items of thorvaldsen.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, an Art gallery 35 kilometers north of Copenhagen, Denmark, near the shore of the strait of oerle, is the most visited Art Museum in Denmark.
The Louisiana museum of modern art has a collection of modern and contemporary art from the beginning of world war ii to the present day.
The museum is located on a hillside on the shore of the oresund strait, 35 kilometers north of fredensburg, Copenhagen, Denmark.
The museum is located in a forest and covers a very large area. The designer has cleverly designed the museum into a park, where visitors can experience the contrast between art, architecture and scenery.
Louisiana is more than a "place to store art." the museum itself is a wonderful work of art.
The concept of the museum is to be "hidden in the mountains" to minimize changes to the surrounding environment.
Through a nondescript door, the museum is revealed
The museum's collection is dominated by post-world war ii abstract and surrealist works, and these sculptures have become the most attractive works.
The museum's collection also includes works by Picasso, bacon, Andy Warhol and Robert Rauschenberg, among others.
It is relaxing and enjoyable to enjoy art in Louisiana.
Here, brick by brick, grass and tree are all art, walking around the garden at will, you can also encounter the sculpture works of masters and masters.
The time spent in Louisiana is like a journey of discovery, through narrow corridors with wooden ceilings above and a view of the garden beyond the glass walls on either side, and around the corner, possibly in another direction.

The Statens Museum for Kunst is Denmark's national gallery, located in downtown Copenhagen.
The museum houses works of art from the 14th century to the present day in Denmark and around the world.
Built between 1889 and 1896, it is an Italian Renaissance building.
It is a dream of many art students to visit and see the original oil paintings in many textbooks, without the color bias of the print edition, and with the realistic feeling of oil painting strokes, to appreciate the medieval Christian painting art and the reality and humanity of Renaissance painting.
In Denmark, there is no other choice to show such a rich variety of art museum -- from Renaissance European classic to the diversity of modern and contemporary art, such as Mantegna, Nolde, Anna Ancher, Munch, Derain, Rubens and so on numerous artists, treasures exhibited here have chosen their own work, so it is worth, take careful watch a day.
